Download SQL Server client tools

Hi.
Despite the indignance of some people, here is the link to download the SQL
Server Client Tools for use with MSDE.
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...SP4-x86-ENU.EXE
I have downloaded MSDE and the Client Tools myself so I know this to be the
case. I came across this page when searching for the client tools for a new
laptop on which I have already installed MSDE.
I do wish that people would not confuse "I don't know how to do something" w
ith "it cannot be done." There's very little in this universe that cannot b
e done
Anyway, in answer to your question, you were half right. The download is on
ly part of SP4 (thankfully) and therefore only weighs about 67MB, and not th
e 240MB total SP size.
I hope this helps. Have fun!

http://www.eggheadcafe.com/forummerit.aspxI believe most people are looking for ways which are in
compliance with licensing agreements. You need a valid,
legal SQL Server CAL to install the client tools. If someone
does not have this, the methods you are suggesting are not
legal.
The gist of it is explained in the following link:

>Incidentally, if you can't install from the SP4 download, download the SQL
Server 2000 Evaluation and simply install just the Client Tools.

>It's a bigger download, but has the desired effect.
>Enjoy!
